MUSE after school creative enrichment program




REGISTRATION FORM HERE


This after school program will focus on exploring creative
expression in its many forms. Kid’s will create in video,
animation, painting, drawing, photography, storytelling,
music, movement, and whatever else we can think of!
Homework and music (piano/voice) practise will be done
during our time together, as well as, lots of play and
outdoor time. The program runs from 2:30 to 5:30 and
children must be dropped off at MUSEartspace. One healthy
snack will be provided. Spaces are limited so pre-registration
for the first mnoth is required. Fee is $175.00 per month.
NOTE: PD DAYS - kids registered in the monthly
program will receive a discount of $9.00 toward the
$30.00 PD DAY fee during the month in which they are
registered.

PEI Digital Media Workshops new registration forms

The first DM Workshop is the Director/Actor that happens starting next Friday. This is a free intensive professional development workshop for all people interested in directing or acting professionally or has a keen interest in either. This event will be catered.

Becka Viau's exhibition "Make Belief"

Becka Viau's exhibition "Make Belief" opened to an enormous crowd! What a terrific night.
Becka's pieces were admired and acquired. There are only a few left for purchase but most pieces that were sold will be on display until Sept 9th so come on in and experience this lovely loveliness.

MUSE INFO AND FALL PROGRAMMING

What is MUSEartspace?
MUSE is a multi-purpose artspace that holds a gallery, studio, lounge and retail space. We promote emerging artists and carry the work of PEI artists, writers, and craftspeople. We also run programming for all ages and skill sets. A calendar of our programs and events is available at www.museartspace.com. Renee Laprise is the owner and operator.

The GALLERY
The gallery space was created with emerging artists in mind. There is no fee to show however MUSE takes a 30% commission on all art sold in the space. Artists with a body of work are welcome to submit proposals for shows to renee@museartspace.com. Group shows are welcome as well.

The LOUNGE
The lounge is a great place for parents to relax while their kids are enjoying our programming.
The lounge also used for special evening events like SOCIALS, SINGER/SONGWRITER CIRCLES, POETRY READING (see the MUSE calendar for what's on and when).

The RETAIL SPACE
Artists, writers and craftspeople are encouraged to put their work in the retail space on consignment.
MUSE takes a 25% commission on books and a 30% commission on art and crafts. Contact renee@museartspace.com for more information.

The STUDIO and PROGRAMS
The studio is a work space stocked with art supplies in which all ages workshops and programming are run. There is also open studio time where people can come and just play around.

FALL CHILDREN'S AND TEEN PROGRAMMING

AFTER SCHOOL CREATIVE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM - The is an after school 'creative enrichment' program for kids 8 to 11. We will be focusing on creative development in various areas from art, story, film, animation, play, etc., as well as, homework and music practice (for those in singing or piano). There will also be time dedicated to physical exercise, either indoors or outdoors. Snack provided. Space is very limited - only 6 spots - so pre-registration is required. The monthly fee is $175.00. PD days are $30 for the full day.

FRIENDSHIP FAIR CLUB - Ages 3 to 6 - Mon to Fri - 10am to 11am.
This is a drop in hour for pre-schoolers. 10 - 10:15 is yoga/creative play. 10:15 to 10:30 is story. 10:30 to 11:00 is an art activity. Children tend to finish the art activities quickly but parents are welcome to play in the studio space with their kids until 11am. Adult accompaniment is a must - this is not a drop off program. This programming is based on The Amazing Travelling Friendship Fair (www.friendshipfair.com) that I developed as a holistic teaching tool for preschoolers. Fee is $5.00 per child per hour. 5 visits and the 6th one is free! Monthly unlimited passes available for $40/month

KIDS CREATE!
Saturdays beginning September 18
This is an hour long drop in time for kids ages 5 to 8 to come and create in the studio space.
Adult accompaniment a must. Activities will be provided - usually will take between 15 and 30mins to complete but kids are welcome to play in the studio space for the hour.
$5.00 per child

TWEENS CREATE!
This is an 8 week course designed to give tweens ages 8 to 11 an overview of creative expression in various mediums (ie. film, animation, art, music, writing, photography, etc).
Fee $125.00
Saturdays from Oct 2 to Nov 27 (skipping Oct 30) - 1100am to 12:30pm
Pre-registration required as there are only 8 spaces in this course.

TEENS CREATE!
This is an 8 week course designed to give teens ages 12 to 15 an overview of creative expression in various mediums (ie. film, animation, art, music, writing, photography, etc).
Fee $125.00
Tuesdays from Sept 26th to Nov 16th - 6:30p to 8:00pm
Pre-registration required as there are only 8 spaces in this course.

FALL ADULT PROGRAMMING
OPEN STUDIO - an opportunity for adults 16+ to hang out and make some art. Day passes ($5) or month passes ($30) are available for purchase. Times are listed on the MUSE calendar.

ADULTS CREATE!
This is an 8 week course designed to give ADULTS ages 16+ an overview of creative expression in various mediums (ie. film, animation, art, music, writing, photography, etc).
Fee $150.00
Saturdays from Oct 2 to Nov 27 (skipping Oct 30) - 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Pre-registration required as there are only 8 spaces in this course.

LIFE DRAWING - will happen 2 Wed evenings per month. Fee $10. Check calendar for dates.

LOVELY WITCHES CLUBS SOCIALS - will happen 1 Tues evening per month. Fee $5.00. Check calendar for dates.

SPECIAL EVENTS - MUSEartspace will be holding various events and socials in the evenings. Check calendar for dates.

SPACE RENTAL
MUSEartspace is a perfect venue for workshops, parties, meetings, events. Rental fee is $20/hour or a flat fee can be worked out. Contact Renee at renee@museartspace.com.

Teen Multi Media Week comes to a close -- :(
