Hi everybody
MUSE will be open the last 2 weeks of October despite my earlier plans. I will be in and out due to the Witches Ball prep but will be running pre-school drop in from 10 to 11am monday to friday along with my other scheduled programming.
I do have Tomoyo Suzuki in the space right now. Lovely little drawings - snapshots of her time here. The big gallery is being left empty to accommodate some programming and because there is a Lovely Witches Club show at the Guild.
I'm looking for artists to fill the big gallery for mid Nov till the New Year. So submit a proposal and we'll tawk!
thanks
Renee

Michael Pendergast - "Not To Be Told ... Strange and Eerie Tales of the Island"

Michael Pendergast presents:
"Not To Be Told ... Strange and Eerie Tales of the Island"
Come share in an evening of storytelling for adults with the Island own Michael Pendergast. These strange and eerie tales are mostly true stories that Michael has some connection to whether through family or places he's lived and he's letting you into these well kept (and not so well kept) secrets for just one evening!
Michael will be telling stories from 7 to 8pm and then the audience will have a chance to share their own Island tales from 8 to 9pm.
$10 at the door

CREATIVITY COACHING

CREATIVITY COACHING
Now that I've finally found my creative voice I'm here to help you do the same!
We all feel the need to express ourselves at least now and then. Getting those thoughts, words, images, feelings out of our heads and in to the world is so healthy. It relieves stress, inspires joy, and can change how we see ourselves. But many of us stuff our voices down for fear of being criticized or not being able to say what we want to say exactly the way we want to say it.
Creative expression isn't about being DaVinci or GaGa. It's about the finding the best way to say what you want to say -- then DOING IT!
I will work closely with you to assess the best route we should take to unleashing your creative self. Some people just need routine and structure, others need to be challenged and still others need to clear emotional or mental blocks that stop their creative flow. We'll use techniques and exercises that are fun and inspirational.
To facilitate your journey even further all my clients will have FREE access to the MUSE studio space so you can start or expand on projects in an enriching and safe environment. I am in MUSE during the week and will be available for guidance during your time in the studio at no extra cost. Access will be limited to certain hours and days but I will assess this on a client by client basis.
Coaching with me starts at $60/session (1 to 2 hours) or 8 weekly sessions for $400.
My coaching sessions can be tailored for teens as well as self expression during these years is one of the most important things a teen can do to keep themselves on track.
I can be reached at renee@museartspace.com or 388-2044.

MUSE CREATE! art classes for ADULTS, TEENS, TWEENS and KIDS
These courses are about getting your hands dirty and trying new things to jump start your creative soul. I have the first 4 weeks planned but I want to work with the interests of the class to build the last 4 weeks. Also I will offer FREE studio time for you to come in to work on your projects if you want to expand on your project through the week.
The CREATE! series for ADULTS, TEENS, TWEENS and KIDS is about relaxing into art and having fun. So it's actually great for all skill levels.
I'm a very practiced artist and this is something that I wish I had had access to. I'm looking forward to them myself!!! :)
Registration is now open for the 8 week Tween, Teen and Adults courses so book your spot now while there is space. Bring a friend and get 10% of your fee. REGISTRATION FORMS ARE AT www.museartspace.com

MUSE Creates! registration forms are available for download

Pre-registration is now open for my courses for Tweens, Teens and Adults.
Registration forms can be downloaded at www.museartspace.com (top of the page).
There has been enormous interest already and space is limited. It's "first registration
in gets it!" so make sure you register early.
Also the preschool drop off seems to be working well. It's 10 to 11 daily. $5 per drop in.
COME GET MESSY WITH YOUR KIDS. I have a kid I know what it's like to not want to make a mess in your own house. That's what the MUSE workshop is for! So come on out and give it a try! Tea and coffee available for the adults!
Still trying to figure out the 5 to 8 year group. Do you all want Saturday morning drop in or would you prefer a set time for Saturdays? I'm open to suggestions.
SO GET YOUR CREATIVE SELVES HERE AND COME PLAY WITH ME AT MUSE ARTSPACE!!
See you soon!
Renee
